As many of you may have read from my recent blogs, Sovereign is one of my fabulous sponsors that has helped me through the last couple of seasons. Just recently, they bought me a brand new bike box (bright orange so I will know which one is mine at the airport conveyor belt in future!) . I have been in need of one for a while.
I cannot thank them enough - their help has given me the chance to go to the big races and achieve what I set out to do. Yesterday, I met with Sovereign just for an update and a little chat about how my season has gone. To thank them for their help I presented them with a little momento that they can hang in their reception area.

It's been a while since the last time I was on here but training has been kind of slow recently due to my shoulder injury. It's hard to put into into words, but I'll try my best: basically, the muscles around my shoulder joint - the rotator cuff muscles - are weak so they aren't holding my joint together. In short terms, my shoulder ball and socket keeps popping out!
Not the best situation to be going into winter training in Gran Canaria with, but I'm SO looking forward to it! Only 2 weeks now! It will be hard work particularly cycling in the mountains but getting away from studying for a while and concentrating on getting my training back on track will be good . I've also been busy visiting Universities for next year - some an 8hr round trip. Who knew that there were so many different variations of a Sport and Exercise Science course! Trying to whittle the list down is hard, but I think I'm getting there. Of course I have the added task of finding a Uni that can provide the facilities I need to continue my training & competitions - and hopefully the added bonus of a scholarship. Now just the dreaded task of writing my personal statement! Any suggestions/ideas would be gratefully accepted! |
