Yayayaaa - I am officially a fully qualified Lifeguard! Finally finished the course today and passed without a hiccup! I've got to say, I was a nervous wreck! For the past week, I have been bombarded with this new information and scenarios, but finally, I can take a breath a sigh of relief. And now I can start earning some money to help pay for my races. Some advice for candidates for the NPLQ Lifeguarding Course: do not panic! I panicked on Thursday that I didn't know enough, or that I would fluff up the questions in the exam, but it was actually quite easy! The instructors are so good and the book you are given is so helpful and easy to follow. The pool work isn't as hard as you would think, although I think I know have a permanent bruise on the heel of my hand from all the CPR I was doing (ON THE DUMMIES, NOT REAL PEOPLE!) So yeah, I'm stress free now (well until I get to GCSE's at least!) At least I can get back to training now as this week has been a bit of a washout (sorry Perry ) - although it has been my easy week. ......I just have a Duathlon to complete this Sunday! What was I saying about stress?
